We hope you're doing well in the aftermath of the epic storms. If we were writing a comic screenplay, and we needed a compelling prelude to the "No Dictators" nationwide protests on Saturday, March 28, 2026, we might invent a biblical deluge. Help us make it the biggest protest in US history! 7 Reasons to Join No Dictators And Bring Your Friends1. Voter SuppressionTrump, desperately afraid of the 2026 elections, has ordered the MAGA Senate Republicans to pass the so-called “SAVE America” Act. It would be the greatest voter disenfranchisement in US history. Most at risk are married women and the 50% of Americans who currently don’t have a passport, a certified birth certificate, and a certified change of name. Don’t let them pass this atrocity. TAKE ACTION: Click here and tell the Senate NO to Jim Crow 2.0 2. Unqualified Mixed Martial Arts Fighter to Run DHS/ICE/CBPThe MAGA Senate Republicans will soon approve the nomination of Markwayne Mullin as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary to succeed "ICE Barbie", Kristi Noem. Mullin has a public history of immature and violent behavior. And he’s corrupt, enriching himself by actively trading stocks ahead of government actions. TAKE ACTION: Click here and tell the Senate we will not have another thug directing the ICE and CBP secret police. 3. Destruction of the World OrderLeaders and allies around the world remember Trump’s abandonment of allies, embrace of dictators, endless grift, random tariffs, daily unreliability, and outright insults. He claimed, “I alone can fix it!” Instead, he alone has destroyed eighty years of world order. Now that he has destabilized the world economy and is panicking for help reopening the Strait of Hormuz, our allies that he has been insulting and threatening for the last year are telling him he can fix his mess himself. TAKE ACTION: Click here and tell Congress to block all funding of this illegal, immoral, incompetent, unaffordable war. 4. Fastest Democracy Collapse in History"The speed with which American democracy is currently dismantled is unprecedented in modern history." That’s the conclusion of the 2026 Democracy Report, an authority on democracies around the world for 25 years. The report was written before the Iraq War. We the People must step up to save our democracy. No one else will. Help Indivisible make No Dictators (No Kings on the Continent) the LARGEST PROTEST event in US history. Invite three friends who have not attended before to show up with you or at their own local events. Stand up together against this increasingly reckless, desperate regime. Five events are scheduled on the Big Island. For Kona, we will gather on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 4-5 pm on Queen Kaʻahumanu south of Henry Street. Register. 5. Still Not Convinced? Ask the ExpertsProf. Timothy Snyder, author of the must-read book "On Tyranny", wrote an eloquent appeal. His essay's concluding words are "Please step up. And step out. Everything depends on this. On us." And legendary Robert Reich, makes his case here. Two Big Positive Reasons to Show Up6. Come for the AlohaJoin "No Dictators" because it will lift your spirits! The message of "No Dictators" is serious about protecting and restoring Democracy, but the event is full of Aloha. It will remind you that millions of us across the country are fighting for democracy alongside you, and we know we can win. Join us for camaraderie and funny costumes. 7. Meet Our State Representative Kirstin KahaloaKristin Kahaloa, who represents Kona District 6 in the State House of Representatives, will be joining us. Look for her at the information table to discuss your needs and receive updates on the current legislative session. TAKE ACTION: For Kona, we will gather on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 4-5 pm on Queen Kaʻahumanu south of Henry Street. If you haven’t yet, register here. About ParkingWe expect this to be our largest event yet. Remember we have very limited parking on-site.
